Brad brings hands-on construction expertise and a deep understanding of building practices, while Emmy focuses on coordination, client experience, and maintaining clear communication throughout each phase. Project manager

Shane Timms

Shane Timms brings over 35 years of experience in project management, construction, and remodeling to SCCD. He began his career in Brad’s family hardwood flooring business, spending 15 years building his expertise and strong work ethic.

He later worked nearly 20 years as a project manager with Duke Energy, overseeing projects across South Carolina. Shane lives in Pickens, SC, with his wife and enjoys time with his grandkids, as well as hunting, fishing, and Clemson sports.

Operations Manager

Tory Nicolay

Tory Nicolay joined Stone Custom Construction & Design in June 2022 as Operations Manager, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in marketing, operations, project management, and design. Previously, she served as an Operations Director for a Greenville nonprofit and worked with national brands, an award-winning PR firm, and as a freelance writer for Better Homes & Gardens publications. Tory lives in Greer, SC, with her husband and dogs, and loves living in her own custom home built by Stone Custom Construction.

Brad Stone

Brad Stone began his career in 2000 in his family’s hardwood flooring business, where he developed a strong work ethic and a keen eye for design across residential and commercial projects.

In 2019, he earned his General Contractor license and founded SCCD, bringing years of industry experience, attention to detail, and project management expertise. He lives in Greer, SC, with his wife and son, and enjoys music, the outdoors, and family time.

Partner & Commercial Business Development

Tyson Baker

Tyson brings over 20 years of leadership in manufacturing operations, capital projects, and process improvement, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. He has led multimillion-dollar facility startups, including a $40 million, 200,000-square-foot production project, and holds Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Green Belt certifications.

Now based in Simpsonville, SC, Tyson lives with his wife, two children, and three dogs. He enjoys grilling, supporting the Dallas Cowboys, and spending time with family.

Executive Assistant and Manager

Emmy Stone

Emmy Stone has been an integral part of Stone Custom Construction & Design since its launch in 2019, currently serving as Executive Assistant and Office Manager. She brings over 20 years of experience in small business management and customer service.

In addition, Emmy has owned a massage therapy business since 2011, working closely with the Greenville community. She lives in Greer and enjoys spending time with family, weightlifting, and gardening.

Master Carpenter

Gary Henderson

Gary Henderson brings 43 years of experience in carpentry and project management to the Stone Custom Construction team. He joined Brad in 2020, shortly after the company was incorporated. Before Stone, Gary spent decades working with some of Greenville’s top builders, refining his expertise in precision carpentry and earning a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Gary especially enjoys working with people and installing trim. He lives in Greenville, SC, and was raised in Piedmont, SC. In his free time, he enjoys fishing and spending time outdoors.
